Check out my TINY hotel room. Its kinda comical how small this place is! I am sure there are smaller places out there, but this is the smallest place I have ever stayed in.

It reminds me a lot of my flat in Luton! Except I had a small wardrobe/drawer set and a sink in what I can only describe as a shelf that spanned one side of the room that doubled as a desk. There wasn't much left over, but then I moved my bed so it was adjacent to the window rather than parallel and it gave me a lot more space.
ReplyDeleteYeah I did back in 1972 - it was the Gallatin County jail in Bozeman! It is now a tourist stop as a "historic frontier jail" /coffee house.
ReplyDeleteThat's awesome. I am sure that the Indian jails are not so nice either...probably extra small and extra crowded. I am gonna do everything within my power to avoid spending anytime in a local jail here.
ReplyDeleteWe had two of us in the small room when I stayed there in India. Rooms are larger in Bangladesh. We laughed at the small beds. Love the in floor holes. Just watched the movie outsourced and thought of you when he got to the bathroom.
ReplyDeleteUgh... yeah... I have seen some pretty gnarly toilets or what Indians call a toilet since I have been here and I know it is only going to get worse as I get out into the more rural areas. The strangest one I saw was a combo Indian/Continental toilet. It had the large commode style bowl that we all know and use at home, but instead of a seat it has grips for your feet on either side so you step up onto it, then squat down just like you are using the hole. Not too much fun...
ReplyDeleteIt may not be fun, but I always thought it "safer". You actually get pretty good at it & it builds up your quads ;-) Be thankful you aren't a girl! And BTW you probably figured it out, but in the rest of the country carry your own TP - I used several bathrooms that had a woman at the door who would had you one sheet of TP as you went it. sweet.
